Formal Reflection Essay

Have you ever thought of making something that might help you or the people around you? Helping people in need is such a great feeling. I am making a cookbook with recipes that anyone can make. The recipes will represent the class of 2017. This idea came from the inspiration of my mother. shes is such a great cook, that I knew this would be a good subject.

My successes on this project are getting my pitch, proposal and interview done on time when they were due. I am good at getting the blog posts on to my blog when I am able to. My product is almost complete and by meaning almost is that all I need to do is get at least another blog post in and i need to get my recipes into a nice book/binder to make it look nice and professional. This hasn't been the easiest project but it is something that makes me think of my life and the ones around me. My successes are me thinking about other things besides myself and my interests.

No matter what you do you will have hurdles to jump over more than once. Mine were being able to get all the recipes from my peers like I wanted to. I wanted to get at least 20 from my peers but I only got 3 recipes from 3 girls i know. Some other hurdles I am trying to jump are getting the blog post onto to the blog. I have done most of them but I fail at posting while I am at home. I am either working to late at night or have other homework to work on. There as no point in time were I had to adjust anything but I do need to get my butt in gear for the presentation.

 My weakness are me not being as dedicated to the project as I thought I was going to be. I need to focus more on getting what I need to get done in the time frame I have left. The most important thing i have learned through this project is how important it is to get all the important information for my project/product. I learned that just because you have a whole semester does not mean you can hold of at doing so many things. I could have done so much better but my life out side of school in the way of it.

If I were to be assigned this same kind of project again i would start everything right away instead of procrastinating everything I need to get done.  I say to the next year seniors do not be lazy and do what is told of you to do.
